6 Week Workshop
Sivananda Yoga is a classical and holistic approach to Hatha Yoga that stretches and tones the body from head to toe. This practice establishes physiological balance in the body and secures mental poise through its scientifically designed series of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (yogic breathing techniques). The Sivananda practice includes Sun Salutations, 12 basic asanas with variations; and relaxation throughout.
- 1st week: Introduction, 12 basic postures, opening/ closing chants.
- 2nd week: Inversions and yogic thought.
- 3rd week: Backbends and yogic relaxation.
- 4th week: Foreward bends and yogic breathing.
- 5th week: Sitting, twisting, sitting poses and yogic exercise.
- 6th week: Balancing poses and yogic diet.
$175 for the 18 hour course. Scholarship or work exchange available.
